Finance Minister Mohamed Maait said that the national project to modernize and automate the real estate tax management system focuses on simplifying, integrating and digitizing procedures in order to enhance governance and to facilitate access to e-services.
This step is also in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the country’s digital transformation strategy, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Nearly 84,000 citizens submitted their property registration statements this year through the “Digital Egypt” platform within only three weeks, the minister noted.
He further noted that a new package of electronic services for real estate taxes will be launched through this platform, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
