Egypt receives 63,000 tons of French wheat at Safaga sea port

Egypt’s Safaga Port received on Sunday a French wheat shipment of 63,000 tons for the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), the Port authority announced.

 

The authorities in Safaga sea port took a random sample to examine the wheat from pests and insects and they assured that it adheres to the requirements of plant quarantine.

 

The shipment subjected to strict precautionary and safety measures, the head of the Red Sea Ports Authority Mohamed Abdel-Rahim, overlooking the shipment’s unloading, said.

 

He stressed that all difficulties and obstacles would overcome to speed up the transfer of the shipment.

 

On Saturday, Egypt has received 55,000 tons of Indian wheat as a first shipment and cleared all quality strict tests in the world.
