Egypt stressed the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to promote joint cooperation with African brethren in all industrialization fields, according to Head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Meim El Tarras.
During a meeting Tuesday with Nigerian Ambassador in Cairo Nura Abba Rimi at the head of a Nigerian delegation at the ministry’s headquarters, Tarras pointed out to joint committees and intensive cooperation to boost cooperation with African countries.
They discussed chances of investment and trade partnerships between the two countries in different fields as well as cooperation mechanisms.
The meeting dealt with efforts of enabling the Nigerian side to benefit from Egypt’s expertise in the fields of defense and civilian industries, infrastructure, water technologies, medical supplies, new energy, communications, electronics, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, surveillance cameras and eco-friendly vehicles operated by natural gas.
He added that the AOI is ready to meet all of Nigeria’s industrial and technological potentials to launch development projects and also is ready to train Nigerian cadres at the AOI-affiliated centers.
For his part, the Nigerian diplomat said his country is keen on developing relations with Egypt pointing out that Egypt is a pioneering country in Africa and hailing the development process Egypt is witnessing.
The Nigerian diplomat said his country is happy with Egypt’s presidency of COMESA, stressing the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries especially in the investment projects in Nigeria.
