Egypt and Tunisia will inaugurate a maritime trade route to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.
The agreement came during a meeting between Tunisian Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi and Egyptian ambassador in Tunis Ihab Fahmy on Thursday at the Government Palace in the Kasbah.
Both sides tackled ways of enhancing the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation through holding meetings of the Tunisian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee. Counter-terrorism efforts have also been discussed.
It has been agreed to make 2021 a year of the Tunisian-Egyptian culture via holding mutual cultural activities between the two countries, in a bid of boost tourism and attraction of Asian tourists to the two countries.
