Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards returns for its 6th<\/sup> edition, recognizing outstanding achievements and transformational impact across Egypt’s built environment, with 83 finalists announced across 18 categories. The awards celebrate the companies, projects, initiatives, individuals and teams redefining industry standards and raising the bar in design, contracting, engineering, infrastructure and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Commenting on this year’s awards, Dr Hala Omar, Vice President, Egypt Green Building Council, said: “Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards shine a light on the projects, organizations and individuals that are genuinely moving the needle in Egypt’s construction sector. This year’s finalists reflect the growing momentum behind sustainable and responsible building practices, and it is encouraging to see the breadth and ambition of what is being delivered across the country.”<\/p>\n

Taking place on 24 June 2026 at Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo, the ceremony will honour winners across 18 categories spanning individual achievement, transformative initiatives, landmark projects and business success, from visionary design and digital innovation to sustainable construction and infrastructure delivery.<\/p>\n

An independent judging process <\/strong><\/p>\n

Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards maintains its integrity through a rigorous, independent evaluation process conducted by industry experts, including senior government officials, academic leaders and executives from leading construction institutions, ensuring every entry is assessed on merit and excellence.<\/p>\n

Ahmed Kamal Abdelmoneim, Executive Director, Federation of Egyptian Industries \u2013 Environmental Compliance Office and Sustainable Development (FEI-ECO), said: \u201cEgypt\u2019s construction sector is witnessing a profound transformation, as environmental responsibility and sustainable development become integral to the way projects are planned, designed and delivered. Finalists at a glance<\/strong><\/p>\n

With 83 finalists shortlisted across 18 categories, the 2026 edition is one of the most comprehensive iterations of the awards to date, drawing entries from across the full breadth of Egypt’s construction and infrastructure ecosystem. Notably, 42% of this year’s finalists are new entrants to the programme, featuring leading names such as Aboria Group, Al Shorouk Construction, Korra Energi and Arab Facility Management, among others, signalling that emerging players and fresh thinking are increasingly driving the future of Egypt’s built environment.<\/p>\n

Among this year\u2019s finalists are Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), Orascom Construction, The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.), Hassan Allam Construction, Khatib & Alami and.<\/p>\n

Categories at a glance<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2026 awards programme spans 18 categories recognizing excellence across individual achievement, projects, initiatives and organizational performance. This year’s programme places particular focus on Contractor of the Year, recognizing the firms delivering Egypt’s most complex and impactful construction projects, with finalists including Al-Shorouk Construction Company, Concord for Engineering and Contracting, Hassan Allam Construction, Orascom Construction and The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.).<\/p>\n

Sustainable Initiative of the Year, celebrating the organizations driving responsible and forward-thinking practices across the built environment, features Aboria Group, Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), Hassan Allam Holding & Schneider Electric Egypt, MOA Design House, PGESCO and The Arab Contractors for Facility Management.<\/p>\n

Infrastructure Project of the Year, honouring the landmark developments refining Egypt’s cities and communities, with shortlisted projects including the Smart Water & Irrigation Networks within the Governmental District of Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, delivered by Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD); the Early Activation Hotel \u2013 Ras El Hekma Major Drainage System Works, delivered by Green Engineering & Contracting for project owner Modon; the Khor May Bridge, delivered by Hassan Allam Roads & Bridges for project owner Public Authority for Roads and Bridges; the Safaga Port Multi-Purpose Terminal, delivered by Khatib & Alami for project owner Red Sea Ports Authority; the Greater Cairo Metro Line 3 \u2013 Phase 3, delivered by Orascom Construction for project owner National Authority for Tunnels; and the Alternative Axis for Aswan Dam, submitted by The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.) for project owner General Authority for Roads and Bridges.<\/p>\n
