{"id":324949,"date":"2022-03-21T13:13:42","date_gmt":"2022-03-21T13:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=324949"},"modified":"2022-03-21T13:13:42","modified_gmt":"2022-03-21T13:13:42","slug":"us-dollar-jumps-against-egyptian-pound-on-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2022\/03\/21\/us-dollar-jumps-against-egyptian-pound-on-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"US dollar Jumps against Egyptian pound on Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The US dollar exchange rate has\u00a0increased against the Egyptian pound to EGP\u00a017.4 for buying and EGP 17.5 for selling at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr.<\/p>\n<div id=\"Outstream\"><\/div>\n<p>The USD exchange rate rose\u00a0to EGP 15.6 for buying and EGP 15.75 for selling.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Egypt\u2019s central bank has devalued the pound by up to 10.67 percent on Monday morning to 17.42-17.52 against the U.S. dollar, Refinitiv data showed.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Egyptian currency had been trading at around 15.7 pounds to the dollar since November 2020.
