{"id":324498,"date":"2022-01-20T12:27:08","date_gmt":"2022-01-20T12:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=324498"},"modified":"2022-01-23T12:29:59","modified_gmt":"2022-01-23T12:29:59","slug":"itfc-approves-2-6-billion-financing-for-egypt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2022\/01\/20\/itfc-approves-2-6-billion-financing-for-egypt\/","title":{"rendered":"ITFC approves $2.6 billion financing for Egypt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank <span id=\"page26R_mcid5\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">(IsDB) Group<\/span><\/span>, has approved a $2.6 billion financing to support developmental projects in Egypt, according to the country\u2019s trade ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EgyptianCabinet\/posts\/320110716826022\">statement<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The statement was released following the meeting between Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea and Hani Salem Sonbol, chief executive of ITFC. The two parties discussed the corporation\u2019s work plan in Egypt during 2022 in the areas of trade support and women empowerment programmes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ITFC is one of the most important development partners of Egypt, as its projects contribute to supporting the sectors of trade and industry, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and women\u2019s empowerment projects, in addition to supporting the commercial cooperation between Arab and African countries.\u201d Minister Gamea said.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting tackled special arrangements to establish the first exporters\u2019 academy in Egypt designed to provide training programmes with the aim of supporting the Egyptian exporters and enhance their ability to access more global markets, the minister added.<\/p>\n<p>The ITFC is keen to implement more development programmes in Egypt, Sonbol said.
