valU, Egypt\u2019s leading Buy-Now Pay-Later (BNPL) fintech platform, has announced that it was recognised as the Fintech Company of the Year at the Tech Innovation Awards 2021, hosted by Entrepreneur Middle East of BNC Publishing on October 6 at the Raffles Hotel in Dubai.<\/p>\n

valU was lauded for its outstanding achievements and growth, with over 170,000 users now registered on the platform and more than 400,000 transactions in excess of EGP 2 billion conducted since inception.<\/p>\n

Driven by a belief in the value of strategic collaboration, which benefits both consumers and merchants, valU partnered with several key retailers including Majid Al Futtaim, Al Futtaim Group, Marakez, AZADEA, IKEA among others.<\/p>\n

These partnerships are essential to valU\u2019s goal of expanding its customer base and market presence, to offer fresh financing avenues to clients in search of seamless buy-now-pay-later programmes across major shopping malls in Egypt.<\/p>\n

valU has also worked to grow its service offering into new segments such as healthcare, education, and sports club financing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In May 2021, valU launched the valU Family\u00a0programme qualifying clients\u2019 1st degree relatives over 16 years of age to acquire a borrowing limit for the first time in the Egyptian market as it works to expand the unbanked customer coverage.<\/p>\n

While in September 2021, valU launched Ma3ak,\u00a0a youth financing programme targeting university undergraduates between 18-21 years of age, a segment that was previously underserved.<\/p>\n
