Egypt started of a comprehensive plan to restructure the Industrial Modernization Centre (IMC) with the aim of updating its regulations, and contractual and financial procedures, in order to achieve transparency and sustainability at the centre, according to Nevine Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry.<\/p>\n
She added that the restructuring also includes qualifying young employees to assume leadership positions within the centre.<\/p>\n
This came during the expanded meeting held by the Minister with IMC employees and branch managers, in the presence of Mohamed Abdel Karim, Executive Director of IMC.<\/p>\n
Gamea said that the ministry is striving to restore the centre\u2019sposition within the national industry system as the main arm of the ministry for the development and modernization of the national industry in its various sectors, noting that the ministry will work during the next stage to put the centre on the right track as one of the most important entities in the system of development and development of the national industry.<\/p>\n
She added that IMC includes a large number of young talents and cadres that can be used to improve the services provided by IMC to the industrial sector through the implementation of the new policies and visions of IMC that will advance the national industry and increase the competitiveness of the Egyptian product in the local and international markets.<\/p>\n
She indicated that the board of directors of IMC will meet periodically during the next phase to discuss new developments and approve them in a way that serves the interest of IMC\u2019s employees and contributes to the development of the Egyptian industry.<\/p>\n
Gamea explained that the ministry is currently seeking to increase the financial resources of IMC to enable it to expand the service programs it provides to the industrial sector, noting that a committee has been formed from within IIMC to manage resources in order to achieve the optimal investment of resources.<\/p>\n
Within the framework of the new restructure strategy, the minister witnessed the launch of the centre\u2019s new website in both Arabic and English languages, which includes all the activities and services, provided by the centre to the industrial sector, and also reviewed the latest developments made by IMC to develop all platforms on social networking sites.<\/p>\n
Abdel Karim explained that the ministry\u2019s unlimited support for IMC is a basic pillar for implementing the new strategy, which aims to help IMC play a more effective role in the development and development of the Egyptian industry in coordination and cooperation with the business community.<\/p>\n
