{"id":323218,"date":"2021-09-05T15:09:08","date_gmt":"2021-09-05T15:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=323218"},"modified":"2021-09-05T23:09:47","modified_gmt":"2021-09-05T23:09:47","slug":"global-finance-names-tarek-amer-as-one-of-worlds-top-ten-central-bankers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2021\/09\/05\/global-finance-names-tarek-amer-as-one-of-worlds-top-ten-central-bankers\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Finance names Tarek Amer as one of world&#8217;s top ten central bankers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Global Finance magazine has chosen the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tarek Amer as among the top-ten central banks\u2019 governors list for 2021, awarding him \u201cA\u201d grade.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The list contains the central bank governors who earned \u201cA\u201d or \u201cA-\u201d grades as part of the magazine\u2019s Central Banker Report Cards 2021.<strong><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-323219 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/egy-africa.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG-20210905-WA0041.jpg?resize=199%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/egy-africa.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG-20210905-WA0041.jpg?resize=199%2C300&amp;ssl=1 199w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/egy-africa.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG-20210905-WA0041.jpg?resize=678%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 678w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/egy-africa.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG-20210905-WA0041.jpg?w=720&amp;ssl=1 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The magazine announced that the full report and grade list will appear in its October print and digital editions online at GFMag.com.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Banker Report Cards, published annually by Global Finance since 1994, grade the central bank governors of 101 key countries and territories, including the European Union (EU), the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, the Bank of Central African States and the Central Bank of West African States.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Grades are based on an \u201cA\u201d to \u201cF\u201d scale for success in fields of inflation control, economic growth, currency stability and interest rate management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the grades, \u201cA\u201d represents an excellent performance while \u201cF\u201d stands for outright failure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the pandemic still surging in many areas, and inflation emerging as a major area of concern once again, the world\u2019s central bankers are confronting multiple challenges from multiple directions,\u201d according to the Global Finance publisher and editorial director Joseph Giarraputo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He added that the Global Finance\u2019s annual Central Banker Report Cards show which financial policy leaders are succeeding in the face of adversity and which are falling behind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Global Finance magazine has chosen the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tarek Amer as among the top-ten central banks\u2019 governors list for 2021, awarding him \u201cA\u201d grade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":320549,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[22,33],"tags":[74],"class_list":["post-323218","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-banking","category-main","tag-tarek-amer"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.3 -
