{"id":322822,"date":"2021-08-02T09:31:35","date_gmt":"2021-08-02T09:31:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=322822"},"modified":"2021-08-02T09:31:35","modified_gmt":"2021-08-02T09:31:35","slug":"egyptian-accreditation-council-signatory-status-in-afrac-extended-to-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2021\/08\/02\/egyptian-accreditation-council-signatory-status-in-afrac-extended-to-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Egyptian Accreditation Council signatory status in AFRAC extended to 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Egypt\u2019s Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea announced that the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) signatory status in the African Accreditation Cooperation (AFRAC) has been extended to 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Gamea said the decision was important to the local industrial community in terms of promoting intra-Africa trade.<\/p>\n<p>EGAC Executive Director Hany El Desouki said the renewal of recognition comes after the success of the evaluation and inspection visit conducted by AFRAC to the Egyptian authority on 11-16 July.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the AFRAC evaluation coincided with a similar visit by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) representatives.<\/p>\n<p>El Desouki further noted that the EGAC is the only body in the world that has been recognized by both ILAC and IAF, in addition to three regional accreditation organizations: the Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC), the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), and AFRAC.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Egypt\u2019s Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea announced that the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) signatory status in the African Accreditation Cooperation (AFRAC) has been extended to 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":319935,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[33,21],"tags":[390],"class_list":["post-322822","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-main","category-news","tag-egyptian-accreditation-council"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.3 -
