{"id":322439,"date":"2021-06-23T16:05:14","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T16:05:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=322439"},"modified":"2021-06-23T16:07:36","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T16:07:36","slug":"cib-participates-in-egypts-3rd-green-economy-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2021\/06\/23\/cib-participates-in-egypts-3rd-green-economy-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"CIB participates in Egypt\u2019s 3rd Green Economy Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commercial International Bank (CIB) has participated in Egypt\u2019s third annual forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy, under the theme \u201cSustainable Finance and Green Investment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The bank served as the Sustainable Finance Partner to the one-day event, which was held on 14 June.<\/p>\n<p>The forum aimed to create opportunities and partnerships between a range of participating banks, the Egyptian Government, development institutions, and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This was in addition to big corporations and all stakeholders interested in achieving sustainable development in the country, and helping shift towards a green economy to face future climate risks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSustainable finance is one of the main components of CIB\u2019s core business strategy,\u201d said Dalia Abdel Kader, Chief Sustainability Officer at CIB, \u201cWe encourage customers to take part in advancing sustainable finance development in Egypt, which comes in line with the Bank\u2019s commitment to aligning its financial solutions with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and Egypt Vision 2030.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abdel Kader moderated the \u201cGreen Economy Engines\u201d session, attended by Heba Abdelatif, CIB\u2019s Head of Financial Institutions, as a speaker amongst distinguished participants.
