Egypt\u2019s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has held a telephone meeting with his Guinea-Bissau counterpart Umaro Sissoco Embal\u00f3, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations.<\/p>\n
During the phone call, Al-Sisi praised the historical relations between the two countries, and the mutual support in various fields.<\/p>\n
Spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, Bassam Rady, said that Embal\u00f3 stressed his country\u2019s keenness to strengthen relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
He also highlighted Guinea-Bissau\u2019s great appreciation for Egypt, and the latter\u2019s pioneering role in Africa towards meeting the aspirations of its peoples in development.<\/p>\n
Embal\u00f3 also expressed his country\u2019s aspirations for enhancing intra-African trade and investments, and maintaining peace and security across the continent.<\/p>\n
The phone call also touched on ways to boost joint cooperation frameworks at different levels, along with work to improve the trade exchange between the two countries.<\/p>\n
The two heads-of-state reviewed means to support the development and building of capabilities, in order to enable them to lay the foundations of state institutions and face challenges such as security and development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
