{"id":321126,"date":"2021-02-16T13:47:59","date_gmt":"2021-02-16T13:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=321126"},"modified":"2021-02-16T13:47:59","modified_gmt":"2021-02-16T13:47:59","slug":"brazil-could-become-the-top-importer-of-egyptian-oranges-in-two-or-three-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2021\/02\/16\/brazil-could-become-the-top-importer-of-egyptian-oranges-in-two-or-three-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil could become the top importer of Egyptian oranges in two or three years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Brazil could become the top importer of Egyptian oranges in two or three years<\/strong>, Egypt\u2019s commercial consul to Brazil Nashwa Bakr told the <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/brazil-importing-oranges-from-egypt\/\">Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Egypt began exporting oranges to Brazil for the first time last year after Brazilian authorities reached an agreement with Egypt Agricultural Export Authority to allow exports of Egyptian oranges under the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mti.gov.eg\/English\/MediaCenter\/News\/Pages\/Egypt-exports-first-orange-shipments-to-Brazil-.aspx\">Mercosur-Egypt Freetrade Agreement<\/a>, which includes Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2020, the Agricultural Quarantine Authority (AQA) concluded negotiations with Brazilian authorities to export citrus fruits to Brazil for the first time<\/p>\n<p>he AQA has been in talks over opening citrus exports to Brazil since last September.
