{"id":320488,"date":"2021-01-11T11:04:53","date_gmt":"2021-01-11T11:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/?p=320488"},"modified":"2021-01-11T11:04:53","modified_gmt":"2021-01-11T11:04:53","slug":"subscriptions-to-state-owned-ni-capitals-1st-ever-local-currency-fund-started","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/egy-africa.com\/en\/2021\/01\/11\/subscriptions-to-state-owned-ni-capitals-1st-ever-local-currency-fund-started\/","title":{"rendered":"Subscriptions to state-owned NI Capital\u2019s 1st ever local currency fund started"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Egypt announced that subscriptions to the state-owned NI Capital\u2019s Seyola fund have started with a par value of EGP 10, and a minimum purchase of EGP 1,000 without an upper cap, according to Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Saeed.<\/p>\n<p>Seyola is Egypt\u2019s first local currency cash fund with a cumulative daily return and a target issue size of between\u00a0 50 million Egyptian pounds to 100 million pounds.<\/p>\n<p>NI Capital represents the investment arm of the state-owned National Investment Bank (NIB).<\/p>\n<p>El-Saeed, who is also Chairperson of the NIB, said that the new cash fund comes as part of the strategy outlined by NI Capital to enhance its role in achieving financial inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The bank is also using the strategy to develop the capital market. At the same time, NI Capital aims to meet the market needs and requirements of its individual and institutional clients alike.<\/p>\n<p>El-Saeed said that the NI Capital cash fund is unique in that it is the first fund established by investment managers. It is also the first cash fund to invest in transferred values, benefiting from recent legislative amendments to investment funds.<\/p>\n<p>The Seyola cash fund aims to achieve a daily cumulative return commensurate with the low risk associated with the instruments invested in it.
