The Ordinary General Assembly of the Federation of Egyptian Banks approved the results of the candidacy for membership in the Federation’s Board of Directors on Sunday.
The final results of the elections resulted in the victory of Mohamed Badir, CEO of QNB Al Ahli Bank; and Hala Hatem Sadik, CEO of Ahli United Bank, by acclamation.
Badir has extensive experience in the banking field spanning more than 30 years, and Sadik has a history of giving and achievements in the Egyptian banking sector since 1989 until now, especially in the areas of risk and credit management.
After the accession of Badir and Sadik, the Board of Directors of the federation will be headed by Mohamed Al-Etreby — President of Banque Misr — as Chairperson, Hisham Okasha — President of the National Bank of Egypt — as Deputy Chairperson, and Hussein Abaza — CEO of Commercial International Bank Egypt — as Treasurer.
The Board of Directors also includes Tarek Fayed, Chairperson and CEO of Banque du Caire; Tarek Al-Khouly, Chairperson and Managing Director of saib Bank; Hussein Refai, Chairperson and Managing Director of Suez Canal Bank; and Ahmed Ismail Hassan, Regional Director of the Arab Bank.
