According to a report received by Qusair from head of the agricultural quarantine authority Ahmed el Attar the Saudi Agriculture Ministry made the move after a meeting was held with his Saudi counterpart on the sidelines of meetings of the Egyptian-Saudi committee in Riyadh.

Both sides discussed lifting the ban after Attar promised that Egypt is ready to meet all the Saudi conditions on the Egyptian honey bees.
