Hisham Talaat Moustafa ranks 27th among Forbes’ Top 50 Travel & Tourism Leaders

Egyptian businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa has ranked 27th on Forbes’ list of Top 50 Travel & Tourism Leaders.

Moustafa is the CEO and Managing Director of one of the largest real estate developers in the region, Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG).

TMG also owns more than a thousand hotel rooms and apartments across four hotels — The Four Seasons Resort Sharm El-Sheikh, Four Seasons Nile Plaza Cairo, Four Seasons San Stefano Grand Plaza Alexandria, and Kempinski Nile Cairo.

Forbes revealed that, to prepare the list, it selected leaders who work in the travel and tourism sector, including travel agencies, aviation companies, airports, and hotels. It also revealed that the methodology or the criteria for selecting these top 50 leaders was according to the company’s business volume, including the values of revenues; investments and assets; the company’s ownership and assets; the positions held by the leader; as well as the professional experience, the strength of the business leader’s influence, and the other personal achievements.

Forbes explained further that its list includes 50 travel and tourism leaders in the region, of whom 24 reside in the UAE, 11 in Saudi Arabia, and 4 in Egypt.

Additionally, it revealed that the hotel and hospitality sector dominates the list with 26 business leaders, followed by the aviation sector with 17 leaders, then the tourism sector with seven leaders.
