Egypt provides MSMEs’ financing to 3.5M beneficiaries at end of 2021
Egypt has provided finances to 3.5 million beneficiaries of micro, small and medium enterprises compared to 3.2 million beneficiaries at the end of 2020, increasing by 9.4 percent at the end of 2021, according to Head of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), Mohamed Omran.
Omran added, during a press conference held, Monday, that the value of financing balances for medium, small and micro enterprises amounted to LE 26.8 billion at the end of 2021, compared to LE 19.3 billion at the end of 2020, with a growth rate of 38.9 percent.

The number of microfinance beneficiaries (Nano-Finance) reached about 14.9 thousand beneficiaries, with financing balances amounting to LE 3.7 million at the end of 2021.
