Egypt’s food exports jumped by around 18% to $3.8 billion during the first eleven months (11M) of 2021, compared to $3.2 billion in the year-ago period according to local press
In June 2021, Egypt recorded the highest value of food exports in 11M-21 with $392 million, the Head of Egypt’s Food Export Council, Hany Berzy, announced.
Meanwhile, the country’s food exports grow by 26% year-on-year (YoY) to $320 million in November 2021.
Egypt’s food exports to Arab countries have represented 54% of total exports with $2.02 billion in the January-November period of 2021, followed by the European Union with $587 million.
In the meantime, the food exports to non-Arab African countries amounted to $377 million, accounting for 10% of the total exports.
