Egypt targets an increase in medical industries exports by 30 percent on annual basis, according to President of the Export Council for Medical Industries (ECMI) Majid George said.
ECMI eyes increasing the medical exports (medications, cosmetics, and medical supplies) by $120-180 million next year, George said, noting that the sector’s exports hit around $620 million in January to November 2021, by 27.5 percent, up from $472 million in same period last year.
The medical industries exports are close to register more than $650 million by the end of the year, he added.
