Egypt’s exports of iron and steel have amounted to $1.49 billion in the first ten months (10M) of 2021, up by around 189% year-on-year (YoY) from $516 million, according to local press
Egypt has exported iron and steel to around 80 countries during the January-October period of 2021, according to the monthly report published by the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractories, and Metallurgy Industries.
Around five countries have accounted for 72.7% of the country’s exports of iron and steel, led by Spain with $269.524 million, Italy with $365.211 million, the US with $158.492 million, and Saudi Arabia with $109.399 million.
Egypt’s Cement Exports
Meanwhile, the country exported $397 million in cement in 10M-21, up by around 180% YoY from $142 million.
A total of five countries have represented 60% of Egypt’s exports of cement, led by Ivory Coast with $63.78 million and Libya with $61.469 million.
