Crédit Agricole Egypt is increasing its issued capital by EGP 3.75 billion by distributing a total amount of 939.08 million bonus shares at a par value of EGP 4 per share.
The lender will grant 3.02 bonus shares for every original share to the shareholders of record date 29 December, according to a bourse filing on Monday.
Crédit Agricole Egypt will distribute the bonus shares on 30 December.
The new capital will stand at EGP 5 billion, compared to EGP 1.24 billion prior to the capital hike.
It is worth noting that the bank’s initial consolidated financial results showed a net profit of EGP 1.17 billion in the first nine months (9M) of 2021.
