Fawry reports jump in net profits in 9M

The consolidated financials of Fawry for Banking Technology and Electronic Payments has reported an increase in net profits to EGP 193.738 million during the first nine months of 2021 from EGP 145.198 million in the same period of 2020.

The company’s revenues jumped to EGP 1.19 billion in the January-September period of 2021 from EGP 892.7 million in the corresponding period of 2020, according to a bourse filing on Monday.

As for the standalone businesses, the company’s net profits rose to EGP 112.836 million in the first nine months of 2021 from EGP 122.438 million in the year-ago period.

It is noteworthy to mention that during the first half (H1) of 2021, the company registered consolidated net profits of EGP 137.15 million, up by 59.6% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 85.9 million, including minority shareholders’ rights.
