Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Morsy and Nigerian Ambassador to Egypt Mohamed El-Salahi discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, Morsy reviewed the technological, industrial, and technical capabilities of military production companies and units, asserting that the Military Ministry aims at meeting the demands and needs of the armed forces from weapons and equipment.
He said that surplus production capacities are exploited to manufacture various civilian products and contribute to the implementation of national projects.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance economy and investment in order to open new markets for the products of military production companies in Niger, as well as attracting investments to the Egyptian market in light of the economic reforms the country has implemented.
The Military Minister indicated that his ministry will offer all the technological capabilities and expertise to enhance cooperation Niger in all military and civil fields.
For his part, El-Salahi hailed the role of the Military Production Ministry which is the mainstay of military industrialization in Egypt, asserting his country’s keenness to cooperate with Egypt to support bilateral economic and trade relations and to overcome any challenges.
In a statement, the Military Production Ministry explained its keenness to open new horizons for cooperation with Niger in different fields of manufacturing.
