Egypt allocates EGP 388m in new funding for veal project

The Ministry of Agriculture approved the allocation of new funding worth EGP 388 million to finance the veal project as part of the presidential initiative of Haya Karima (A Decent Life) for developing rural areas.

The funding will be offered to 1,941 young breeders and fresh graduates to raise and feed 25,062 cattle, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mostafa El-Sayyad, said in a statement on Wednesday.

This brings the total value of funding under the National Project for Veal Revival to more than EGP 6 billion, offered to about 36,600 beneficiaries to finance the feeding of about 405,000 cattle.
