Attijariwafa Bank Egypt reported a 65 percent growth in net profit after tax for the first six months of the year.
Net profit after tax stood at 220.8 million Egyptian pounds ($14 million) at the end of June 2021 from 133.6 million pounds in the same period last year.

Net interest income also rose by 7.4 percent, while net income from fees and commissions increased by 13.4 percent.
The bank’s total assets surged by 8.4 percent to 44.1 billion pounds as of June 30, 2021 from 40.6 billion on December 31, 2020.
