Trade exchange between Egypt and Brazil increased 22.9 percent, to record $1.3 billion during the first half of 2021, compared to $1 billion during the same period in 2020, according to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
CAPMAS clarified that Egypt’s exports to Brazil recorded $245.6 million during the first half of 2021, compared to $89.4 million during the same period in 2020, marking an increase of 174.6 percent.
It added that Egypt’s imports from Brazil rose to $1 billion during the first of 2021, compared to $930.8 million during the same period in 2020, with an increase of 8.4 percent.
The value of Brazilian investments in Egypt recorded $5.1 million during the fiscal year 2018/2019, compared to $246 thousand during the same period in 2017/2018, marking an increase of 1973.2 percent.
