South Africa’s Rand Merchant Bank has named Egypt the most attractive African country for investment in a report.
“While Egypt’s economy was hard hit by the pandemic, it was also one of the first to bounce back to a path of growth. This, owing to the swift measures it introduced and the fact that it had been on a stronger footing at the outbreak of covid-19,” the financial services company wrote.
The ranking — which placed Morocco in second place and South Africa in third — assesses economic activity, the business environment and the state of public finances in African countries.
