Egypt’s exports of food industries and agricultural crops increased by 13.6% to $4.585 billion in the first eight months of the fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, compared to $4.035 billion in the year-ago period, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea said
On the sidelines of the inauguration of the food development and safety centre in Qaha City at a cost of EGP 90 million, Gamea said that the food and agricultural sectors play a major role in the ministry’s plan to increase Egypt’s exports to $100 billion annually.
The largest market destinations for Egypt’s food exports include Russia, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, the UK, the UAE, the US, Algeria, Morocco, and Libya
