Trade exchange between Egypt and Malaysia amounted to about $503 million during 2020, according to Minister of Industry, Nevine Gamea.
The Egyptian minister said in a statement, that the list of imported and exported goods between the two markets includes vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices, phosphates, fertilizers, chemicals, palm oil, petroleum and mineral oils, rubber and some types of yarn.
This came during the minister’s meeting with the Malaysian Minister of Agricultural Industries and Commodities, Mohamed Khair El-Din Bin Aman, and his accompanying delegation, which is currently visiting Egypt, to discuss ways of cooperation between the Egyptian and Malaysian sides at various levels.
The minister pointed out that Malaysian investments in Egypt are estimated at $60 million, distributed among 26 companies working in the fields of oil, gas, electricity, contracting, trade, tourism and information technology.
