The French transport firm RATP Dev has officially started the management operations of Cairo Metro Line 3, Egypt’s Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir said.
After concluding technical and financial negotiations, the two sides signed a 15-year contract in September 2020 to operate and maintain the metro line extending from Cairo University to Adly Mansour station, the minister said in a statement.
Moreover, the country also signed another contract with the French company to manage and operate the El-Salam/New Administrative Capital/10th of Ramadan light rail transit (LRT).
