The trade exchange between Egypt and Algeria rose by 14% during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, according to a recent report by the Egyptian Commercial Service
The report showed that bilateral trade between the two countries from January to March reached $215 million, compared with $188.6 million in the same period last year.
Egyptian exports to Algeria grew by 10% year-on-year (YoY) to $174.3 million in Q1-21, up from $159.3 million in the same corresponding period of 2020.
The Egyptian imports from Algeria also increased by 39% to $40 million, compared with $29.3 million in Q1-20.
Egypt ranked 14th among exporters to the Algerian market and 23rd in the list of importers from Algeria.
