Egypt will raise the 50-percent discount on shipping to Africa to 60 percent, according to Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea
The minister clarified during IPAs Africa Forum 1that is to achieve a competitive price for Egyptian products.
“I hope that more African countries implement the AfCFTA, which went into effect in January…That will require unifying specifications and standards,” Gamea stressed.
Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar highlighted that air shipping is often used on the continent due to the lack of adequate urban roads.
Hence, the minister suggested that African states set special fees for African airways to contribute in reinforcing connectivity among African states.
