NERMINE TAHOUN: “T-SMART” is the first integrated application to provide legal services and advice in the Middle East and Africa
Dr. NermineTahoun, the founding partner of the TAHOUN& Associates stated that the COVID-19 pandemic, that started late 2019, is an incomparable and peculiar catastrophe that, in turn, has created negative impacts that affected various economic sectors and investment trends for most sectors in various financial markets.
She added during an exclusive interview with “Eiji Africa” that the consequences of that crisis has affected the targeted growth rates at the level of the Egyptian economy and most sectors during the past year as a result of the series of safety measures taken by the state in some previous periods.
She indicated that the most prominent requirement to support the ability of the Egyptian economy to face the negative repercussions and reduce them is to increase the promotional component of the available investment opportunities and the huge infrastructure that is being launched with the granting of new investment incentives, to support the ability to attract a diverse segment of investors and external institutions in light of the impact of a large segment of markets Competition, in addition to continuing to facilitate bank borrowing procedures in a more flexible manner, in addition to continuing to postpone the state’s tax entitlements during the current periods to support the ability of the private sector to cross the challenges of the current stage and fulfill its requirements to continue in the labor market and gradually restore production capabilities again in various economic sectors.
She explained that during the year 2017 the office obtained a patent from the Ministry of Telecommunications and through the Information Technology Development Authority to establish the first company to provide legal services through the Internet under the name of “T SMART”, with the aim of saving time, effort and cost, and ensuring business continuity in various circumstances, such as the Corona crisis. A dimension for a diverse segment of investors, small and medium-sized companies, and various institutions in addition to a diverse segment of investors wishing to enter the Egyptian market.
She added that the application offers a variety of services represented in providing various legal advice, establishing companies, drafting various contracts, responding to all inquiries, and legal services and ways to obtain them throughout the day.
She explained that during the current periods, new investments are being made to make continuous updates and developments for an electronic application of the T-SMART App, which is the first application to provide legal services through the Internet and is available for download on Android systems through Google Play.
