The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Ukraine reached $1.63 billion by the end of 2020, according to Head of the Egyptian side of the Egypt-Ukraine Business Council Gamal el Aguizy.
This came during an online meeting of the Egypt-Ukraine Business Council to discuss a number of important files and recommendations that aim at enhancing economic, scientific and technical cooperation as well as means of increasing exports.
A number of sessions will be held by the council, Aguizy said, highlighting the Egyptian state’s keenness on fostering relations with Ukraine in the fields of trade, tourism, communications, information technology and scientific research.
A cooperation protocol is set to be signed with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the sidelines of the joint higher council’s meeting to benefit from the Ukrainian expertise to develop Egyptian industries, he further said.
