Banque du Caire and EGX-listed e-payments platform Fawry have signed a new agreement to set up an instant remittance transfer service through the bank’s branches.
The new agreement was signed in order to make it easier for citizens to disburse remittances transfer in Egyptian pounds through the bank’s branches which are spread all over the governorates.
In addition, the new agreement came within the framework of the strategic partnership between Banque Du Caire and Fawry Plus to add new outlets for instant remittance transfer services, the Bank’s Chairman Tarek Fayed said.
Citizens will be able to instantly disburse their transfers either through the company’s branches amounting to about 110 branches or through bank’s network of branches, which amounts to 242 branches and units, he added.
The step will attract remittances and savings of Egyptians working abroad, he also noted
Fayed also added that the new service will be provided for the first time in Egypt and comes within the bank’s efforts in facilitating remittance transfer procedures.
