Egypt aims to increase public investments into green projects to 30 percent in fiscal yar 2021/2022 from 15 percent in FY20/21, according to The Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El-Saeed.
El-Saeed, stressed on the importance of taking steps towards applying the environmental sustainability standards guide and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the progress of each objective in various sectors.
The Assistant Minister of Planning, Gamil Helmy, reviewed the efforts exerted to meet environmental sustainability standards, including the implementation of modern irrigation projects, tertiary treatment of sewage water, smart transportation, electric rail, and monorail, as well as connecting bakeries with natural gas.
