Egypt’s stocks end lower on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 tumbles 1.15%

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index plummeting 1.15 percent to 11,417 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) decreased 1.45 percent to 2,370 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped edged down 1.20 percent to 14,051 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also fell 1.34 percent to 3,391 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 dropped 1.37 percent to 2,367 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has on Tuesday incurred losses worth 5.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($343.6 million) to close at 700.946 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached 3.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 761.280 million securities executed 53,469 transactions.
