Guinea-Bissau’s president hails Egypt’s efforts to advance joint African work in phone call with Sisi
Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Cissoco Embalo hailed Egypt’s efforts in advancing the African joint work, as he made a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday.
Embalo highlighted Egypt’s effective role especially in terms of trade and investment among African states and the preservation of continental security and stability, Egyptian Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.
Embalo expressed Guinea-Bissau’s appreciation for Egypt’s pioneering role in Africa to contribute to achieving the aspiration of its people toward development and prosperity.
He affirmed his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral relations with Egypt in various fields.
Sisi, during the phone call, lauded the historic relations between the two countries, confirming Egypt’s support to Guinea-Bissau in all fields.
The two presidents have agreed on activating cooperation frameworks at various levels and working on advancing trade exchange between the two countries.
They have also agreed on developing the capabilities of the Guinea-Bissau cadres in a way that help the country consolidate the pillars of state institutions and face the security challenges the region witnesses.
