The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session in the green territory on the back of foreign and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.57 to end the session at 11,453 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 1.2% to 2,254 points.
Likewise, the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.85% to 3,252 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI added 0.55% to 2,323 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 3.4 billion to close at EGP 677.806 billion.
Local investors were net sellers with EGP 95.136 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 88.97 million and EGP 6.15 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.61 billion after 633.625 million were exchanged through nearly 51,370 transactions.
