The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session mostly on a positive note as the main EGX30 rose by 0.54% to 11,339 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI increased by 0.65% to end the mid-week session at 2,204 points, while the EGX100 EWI climbed by 0.39% to 3,194 points.
On the other hand, the EGX50 EWI retreated by 0.21% to close at 2,296 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 760 million to reach EGP 672.29 billion on Tuesday from EGP 671.53 billion on Monday.
The market’s turnover stood at EGP 1.66 billion after 524.12 million shares were exchanged through around 51,690 transactions.
Local investors were net sellers with EGP 212.13 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 7.77 million and EGP 204.36 million, respectively.
